It’s cold outside but Gopher STEAM is just getting warmed up! Crazy Colin is bringing fantastically fun hands-on classes for the winter season that will get your Jr. Scientist excited about STEM. Every class has an amazing make-n-take that your Jr. Scientist will bring home to continue the fun.

Crazy Colin’s Super Science Season 2

Open to grades K-5

In this 7 week course you will:

Get hands on with some real robots. Learn about robots are used in the real world and discover how they use sensors and circuits to move through the world around them.
Feel power of the air all around you. We will use some amazing activities to learn all about air pressure. We will make things float and fly and one of those things will be you!
Learn all about polymers by getting slimy. We discover the world of polymer chemistry and learn what is a polymer, how we make them and how they make our modern world work.
Discover how electricity works by building circuits. We will have bright ideas as we learn how circuits light up or world.
Write and decipher secret codes and cyphers. How do you create secret codes and how do you break them? We will learn about the history of secret and not so secret codes and how we use them today.
Use forensic science to discover who-done-it. We will learn about fingerprints and chromatography are used to solve crimes.
Let your inner engineer fly! You will harness your own curiosity and use the design cycle to build and test your own flying machine in our awesome wind tube.
